What is the National Urban Forum? It is a platform for debate for various stakeholders and municipal actors. We will discuss how to conduct an integrated urban policy at different levels - local, regional, national and international. Further development of urban policy in Poland should take into account the changing conditions and the latest trends in urban development not only in our country, but also in Europe and the world. It mainly concerns creating a better linkage between national urban policies and sectorial policies, EU cohesion policy after 2020, the Urban Agenda for the European Union, but also the New Urban Agenda of the United Nations and the Goals of Sustainable Development. We hope that the establishment of NUF and the conclusions of the first Forum will help to make this approach a reality.
Who are we inviting? All those who care about the welfare of Polish cities. The debate will be attended by representatives of Polish government and local governments, cities and their unions (associations), urban movements, scientists, urban planners, architects from Poland and abroad. There will also be representatives of international institutions - UN-Habitat, European Commission or Eurocities.
