Two men operates equipment in a mobile laboratory

Speed and flexibility

In industries such as petrochemical, energy and telecommunication, uninterrupted work of devices is essential. A serious failure means losses for the supplier, but also a lack of reliable supply of fuels, electricity or the internet. Calibron allows you to carry out inspections in places where human presence is impossible or involves too much risk.

‘Calibron,  that is, a mobile rapid response laboratory, will reach the place of failure ,’ explains Stanisław Głodowski, co-owner of GC Energy and originator of the project. ‘Our employees will determine the cause of the problem, fix the defect and re-certify the devices. This is the result of our 15 years of experience in strategic sectors of the economy.’

The mobile set consists of two parts. The first is a laboratory and inspection centre in a semi-trailer of a truck. The second part is made of specialized diagnostic and repair modules. They are used depending on the scope of the task ordered. The laboratory itself has the latest measuring and diagnostic equipment on board, as well as space for conferences and meetings with clients. The modules on the other hand are equipped with devices and tools tailored to specific tasks: service and repair of valves, calibration of control and measuring equipment or repair works. Depending on the logistic configurations, the module can arrive with the laboratory part or by a separate transport.

Calibron with drones
Calibron is equipped with technically advanced drones with very high resolution cameras or thermal imaging cameras. Drones are used for inspections of, among others: wind and solar farms, condition of insulators on high voltage poles, production installations, masts and chimneys.

‘We attach great importance to predicting potential threats. Our employees are able to determine precisely the durability of individual devices, structural elements and recommend service or replacement before a failure occurs. We try to make our clients aware that prevention is better than repair or the effect s of the installation’s  indisposition,’  adds Stanisław Głodowski.

Project: Increase in the international competitiveness of GC Energy by creating a mobile and stationary rapid response laboratory for industry
Project cost: approx. PLN 11.9 million, including approx. PLN 4.5 million from the European Regional Development Fund, Podkarpackie Regional Programme
