Stimulation and support for entrepreneurship and demand service system provided to small and medium-sized enterprises (the Podkarpackie and Świętokrzyskie Regions)

The Świętokrzyskie Region - Enterprises Competitiveness Centre

A concept of the demand approach, namely supporting enterprises, using high quality services directed at their actual needs, was created on the basis of the activity dedicated to the stimulation of entrepreneurship of the lagged areas of the Świętokrzyskie Region within the framework of Catching-up Regions Initiative.

The results of conducted analyses indicate that enterprises declaring their interest in obtaining expert advice do not have sufficient knowledge on the high quality advisory service market. Therefore, the local government will attempt to use possibilities under the Regional Operational Program of the Świętokrzyskie Region in the years 2014-2020 to create a business environment ecosystem based on market financing.

The scope of support for SMEs

The modification of Activity 2.1 is planned. The support for Business Environment Organizations in the Świętokrzyskie Region to increase the level of entrepreneurship in regions based on the Enterprise Competitiveness System developed under the Catching-up Regions Initiative. The new formula sets out implementation of a non-contest voucher project directed at entrepreneurs for the implementation of advisory services /support for the initiative provided by the business environment institutions. Vouchers will be granted to entrepreneurs in three groups:

• Regular advisory services,
• Pro-initiative advisory services,
• Collective advisory services - for entrepreneur consortia. 

Development and implementation of Enterprises Competiveness System as an attempt to overcome barriers and create a self-financing support system for SME-s. The system will be operated by the Department of Regional Policy in the Marshal Office of the Świętokrzyskie Region.
